St. John Theatre

Celebrating 37 years of bringing the Arts to St. John and surrounding parishes.

Dear Friends,

St. John Theatre will be celebrating its 38th summer season with the production of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid”. Since 1981 we have been producing family entertainment during the summer. It is our commitment to the community that drives us to persevere. You can count on us to provide opportunities for residents of the River Parishes to participate in and to enjoy the performing arts in St. John Parish.

Auditions for “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” were held recently and rehearsals are now underway at the theater in Reserve. The show boasts a wonderfully talented cast under the direction of long time St. John Theatre Friend, Actor, and Director, Mr. Mike Brooks. “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” promises to be a fun-filled show the entire family can enjoy. The production dates are July 20 - 22  and July 25 - 28, 2018.

We received a grant from the Louisiana Division of the Arts that covers only a portion of the cost of putting on a Broadway-style show. We are asking you to support the cast and the theater by purchasing an advertisement in the show program. Our printed program will feature block advertising that will allow ample space for advertising purposes. You may also want to offer potential customers discounts or coupons in your ad.

Please fill out the ad form attached to this letter and return it to Scuttle. PO. Box 188, Reserve, La. 70084. Make your donation payable to St. John Theatre. SJT is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. In order to have sufficient time to print the programs, please mail your donation no later than July 6th. We sincerely appreciate your support of our programs here at St. John Theatre, and we look forward to seeing you at the show.

Thank you for helping us to continue the summer show tradition that began in 1981!
