ABOUT THE SHOW

St. John Theatre is proud to launch its 45th season with the delightful southern comedy Always A Bridesmaid, written by the acclaimed trio Jones, Hope, and Wooten. The production will be directed by Danielle Ordoyne.

Open auditions for the spring production will be held Tuesday, January 6 and Wednesday January 7, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. John Theatre, located at 115 West 4th Street in Reserve, LA.

Production dates will be March 13 & 14 at 7:30pm and March 15 at 2:30pm.

In this laugh-out-loud comedic romp, four lifelong friends remain committed to a promise they made on the night of their Senior Prom: to stand in each other’s weddings—no matter what. More than thirty years later, these spirited Southern women are still marching down the aisle for one another, weathering the ups and downs of love, life, and matrimony. Always A Bridesmaid is a heartwarming and rollicking celebration of friendship, loyalty, and the lengths we go to for the people we love. If you’ve ever dodged a bouquet, questioned a couple’s sanity, or squeezed into an unforgettable bridesmaid dress, this comedy was written just for you.
