Spring 2025 at St. John Theatre
St. John Theatre’s spring 2025 production of Beth Henley’s Crimes of the Heart brought audiences to Hazelhurst, Mississippi, in 1974 for a heartfelt and hilarious journey with the Magrath sisters. The show ran March 14–16 and was directed by Danielle Ordoyne.
Set on Lenny’s birthday, the story follows the sisters as they navigate family turmoil, including a patriarch in the hospital, a Hollywood-returned Meg, and Babe’s arrest for shooting her husband Zachary. Amid the chaos, love, loyalty, and humor shine through, creating a performance that was both touching and laugh-out-loud funny.
